About Us
Orange Door, Inc.
Founded in 2004, Orange Door, Inc. (ODI) set out to create the best professional tax software available. Through working at her father’s growing accounting practice and talking with other tax preparers, founder Sharra Chan knew that small and mid-sized tax accounting firms needed better software solutions. She went to work putting together a company of several top-level programmers, accountants, and business strategists to create Orange Door, Inc.
After further discussions with other practicing accountants, the team quickly realized that for smaller tax firms to grow, let alone survive, they sorely needed powerful and affordable total software solutions backed by attentive customer support. To meet this need, the company began work on its first product the Orange Tax Suite Pro (OTSP), slated for release in 2006.
